Wine Tasting Group If you have some wine knowledge or if you are not interested in a formal course, we can hook you up with a small, informal tasting group. 12-16 people get together about once a month to taste through a wine topic. On a given night, for example, we may taste 9 or 10 different California Cabernets in various price ranges. The idea is to taste a broad section of the wines available to get a sense of style and quality available in each price range. The tastings are held approximately once a month on a Sunday evening from 6:45 pm - 9:00 pm. Before you make a face, let me point out that this is a great way to wind down a weekend, it's only once a month, and you'll be home early. We rotate around to different houses. Everyone brings a dish (pot luck) or some cheese/bread to each tasting. If you can host once a year or so, it is appreciated. It's OK if you cannot. The topics are decided more or less democratically. The cost will be $165 for 7 tastings. We begin in October, skip December, and end in June, but you can start on a pro-rated basis anytime. Or you can pay per tasting ($27). This is not a "couples thing," so singles will not feel out of place (nor will couples). We only ask that you contribute your opinions and ideas to the group.
